Junior Network Operations Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- - Maintain and update the inventory of network circuits and connectivity services across multiple providers.
- - Record, track, and manage circuit information, including service IDs, bandwidth, locations, contracts, and provider details.
- - Coordinate with telecommunications providers regarding service activations, upgrades, incidents, and cancellations.
- - Monitor the lifecycle of network connections and ensure accurate documentation.
- - Assist in the validation and auditing of network inventory data.
- - Support network teams during circuit provisioning and migration activities.
- - Create and maintain operational reports and dashboards related to connectivity services.
- - Participate in troubleshooting connectivity issues by gathering and validating information from providers and internal stakeholders.
- - Ensure all network documentation remains accurate and up to date.
Requirements
What you’ll need- - Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
- - 0-2 years of experience in Networking, Telecommunications, IT Operations, or Technical Support.
- - Basic understanding of networking concepts and TCP/IP fundamentals.
- - Familiarity with WAN connectivity technologies.
- - Good analytical and organizational skills.
- - Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain high attention to detail.
- - Good written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English.
- Technical Knowledge
- - Understanding of telecommunications technologies such as:
- - xDSL
- - FTTH (Fiber to the Home)
- - Dedicated Fiber Circuits
- - Ethernet Services
- - Wireless Connectivity
- - Satellite Connectivity (e.g., Starlink)
- - Basic understanding of:
- - Bandwidth and throughput
- - Latency and packet loss
- - Network availability and redundancy
- - Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Preferred Qualifications
- - Exposure to telecommunications providers and ISP environments.
- - Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT Service Management processes.
- - Experience with inventory, asset, or circuit management platforms.
- - Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent will be considered a plus.
