About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for soliciting, evaluating, and obtaining new insurance clients
- Follow up with customers to ensure appropriate supporting documentation has been obtained
- Determine niche markets from list of companies to determine best marketing strategy
- Quote the risk with multiple markets to determine best coverage and price
- Follow up with underwriter and customer through quoting process
- Log all activities of the sale in management system
- Maintain records, reports, and files as applicable
- Requote renewals when they renew over agency-set amount if requested by management
- Follow all corporate and agency level compliance
- Follow individual and corporate Strategic Plan along with management set goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 5 years previous insurance experience preferred
- Current Insurance License in required lines
- Excellent organizational, time management & analytical skills
- Able to communicate and negotiate effectively
- High degree of dependability
- Able to effectively problem solve
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality of customers personal information
- Strong computer skills required such as Excel, Word, Adobe
- Maintain & foster positive relationships with customers and business partners
- Strong customer service skills
- Provide professional communication in both oral & written expression
