About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the Bank's financial records through the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and support of month-end and year-end close activities.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulatory requirements, tax laws, and internal policies while supporting the Bank's financial reporting objectives.
Partner with internal departments to analyze financial information, resolve discrepancies, improve processes, and provide timely, accurate financial data to management.
Prepare, review, and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries to the general ledger.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
At least one year of accounting experience at a financial services or mortgage banking institution required.
Proficiency with Excel.
Knowledge of GAAP.
