About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Optimization and automation of development and operations processes
- Automating and ensuring the scalability of applications
- Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) to improve our processes and software
- Managing cloud infrastructures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Automating deployments and infrastructure with tools such as Terraform, Ansible or Pulumi
- Monitoring and logging (e.g., with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack) or cloud-based observability platforms like New Relic
- Collaborating with developers to optimize software delivery
- Developing self-services to automate processes in an existing cloud environment
- Providing self-services for platform users in the cloud
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in (business) computer science or a comparable qualification
- Several years of practical experience building and operating modern cloud platforms
- Strong hands-on experience in cloud computing, preferably Azure
- Several years of experience automating with various scripting languages
- Deep knowledge in configuring and deploying containerized applications and orchestrating them with Kubernetes
- Confident use of monitoring software
- Very good understanding of network architectures and firewalls
- Experience in software development with Java and in production operations using SRE practices (Site Reliability Engineering) is an advantage
