About the role

  • Support project development from concept to completion, identifying and mitigating design, budget, and schedule risks, with a focus on civil engineering.
  • Own and manage site constraint maps, layouts, and designs, coordinating with external consultants and EPCs.
  • Optimize civil site layouts for efficient land use, considering factors like equipment selection, topography, environmental constraints, and permitting requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate site technical diligence activities, including hydrology and geotechnical studies.
  • Provide civil engineering support during EPC contract execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Design Experience: 2+ years experience in design, project management, or construction of renewable energy projects.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of civil design principles, technical diligence processes, and EPC construction standards for renewable energy projects is preferred.
  • Renewable Energy Expertise: Working knowledge of wind and/or solar, including system design, optimization, and cost drivers is preferred.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and mitigate risks, analyze opportunities, and make sound engineering decisions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a cross-functional and collaborative environment.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Bonus points for:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D
  • Familiarity with automated layout tools and geospatial analysis software
  • Experience in grading, stormwater management, and erosion control
  • Experience with all phases of project development, from siting to construction
