About the role

  • - **Execution tracking across all teams.** Be present in sprint planning, know what each team is committing to, track progress daily. With small teams, you'll know everyone and everything that's in flight. Surface risks early and follow up before things slip.
  • - **Cross-team coordination. **Our products are interconnected. You'll track dependencies between teams, ensure alignment on timing and interfaces, and catch conflicts early. You're the person who sees the whole board.
  • - **Release management.** Own the integrated release calendar across all five products. Run go/no-go decisions. Ensure QA and documentation are ready before anything ships. Coordinate customer communications.
  • - **Process and practices.** Small teams often lack formal process. You'll establish consistent practices across teams: definition of done, estimation approaches, how we track work, how we hand off between teams. Keep it lightweight but consistent.
  • - **Coordination with shared resources.** Work with our shared QA team and Technical Writer to ensure they have visibility into what's coming and time to do their work properly. Balance their capacity across the five teams. Make handoffs predictable.
  • - **Stakeholder communication.** Keep leadership informed. When timelines are at risk, raise it early with options.

Requirements

  • - **4 + years of experience **in delivery and execution roles (Delivery Manager, Program Manager, or similar), focused on coordinating work across engineering teams and ensuring predictable delivery.
  • - **Experience running delivery across multiple small teams**, in environments where you can’t hide behind process — you need a real understanding of what’s happening on the ground.
  • - **Comfortable being embedded in the work.** You actively participate in planning sessions, standups, and Teams channels across five teams, staying close without micromanaging.
  • - **Strong at building lightweight, effective process.** You know the difference between structure that enables delivery and bureaucracy that slows it down. You favor the minimum viable process that teams actually follow.
  • - **Trusted partner to engineers.** In small teams, you work directly with individual contributors, not just leads. You build credibility by being helpful, pragmatic, and respectful of their time.
  • - **Comfortable with accountability.** You can follow up, push back, and have direct conversations while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • - **Highly detail-oriented.** You have systems to track work and dependencies, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
  • - **Clear, concise communicator.** You provide crisp status updates and surface risks early — no surprises.
