Offer best in class travel consulting to valued customer groups complete with travel arrangements including but not limited to air, hotel, car, and limo
Assist our independent advisor business owner on all aspects of group corporate travel
Understand, evaluate, assess, and support our client’s assistance needs and offer the best professional advice to solve travel and transportation problems
Identify, prioritize and decide what tasks are necessary to fulfill the needs of the client
Finalize group air, car, and hotel bookings by utilizing the Sabre reservation system
Issue tickets, exchanges, MCOs, voids and refunds for groups using the SABRE reservation system
Invoicing as required utilizing Sabre or Agent Portal
Monitor group logistics like itineraries, budgets, deposits and final payments
Negotiate with hotels, airlines, and tour operators to secure favorable rates and packages for groups
Ensure that booked and confirmed travel is reconfirmed prior to travel, immediately before and during travel
Use problem-solving abilities throughout the client’s trip to ensure that all services are delivered to the client’s satisfaction
Use the internet to research destinations, accommodations, travel advisories, reviews, and costs to best meet customers’ travel objectives
Handle most customer service issues directly with the appropriate vendor(s) to achieve the best resolution on behalf of customers and the Company
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or at least eight (8) years of experience as a full-time travel agent, booking individuals and groups for domestic and international travel, using public and private carriers
Strong knowledge of Sabre reservation system (preferably in graphical mode) including GDS formats, short cuts, enhancements, pricing, fare calculations, e-ticketing, and exchanges
Must be a self-starter who can independently, with minimal supervision and assistance, service the travel and other concierge needs of GTC clients efficiently, accurately, and with a personal touch, while always maintaining a professional demeanor and positive attitude
Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly relay information to clients and counsel them on all their travel options
Excellent dispute resolution skills
Must be well-organized and detail oriented
Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle multiple responsibilities
Candidates must be based in the Pacific Time Zone
