About the role
- Provide support and assistance to advisors in booking air, hotel, car, invoicing and ticketing using SABRE
- Research, track, and escalate queries to resolution
- Provide coverage for independent advisors while they are on vacation or unavailable (80–90% of role)
- Provide general office support and assistance on special projects (10–20% of role)
- Assist Advisors servicing corporate accounts and serve as backup to Advisor Assist desk
- Use internet to research destinations, accommodations, travel advisories, reviews, and costs
- Deliver extraordinary customer service; greet customers with enthusiasm and provide consultative service
- Prioritize daily tasks including ticketing, invoicing, and accounting related to bookings
- Handle customer service issues with vendors to achieve resolution
- Support Paid Services on an ad hoc basis and assist with Agresso error research/corrections
- Assist with special projects as needed
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a full-time travel agent, booking domestic and foreign travel
- Proficient native Sabre with 5+ years of experience (GDS formats, shortcuts, enhancements, pricing, ticketing, exchanges)
- Second GDS experience (Worldspan or Travelport) is a plus
- ClientBase knowledge a plus
- Ability to handle difficult situations with little or no guidance; knows when to escalate
- Good understanding of key GTC initiatives and strong communication skills
