About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct community visits to assess health status and provide health education promoting disease prevention and healthy lifestyles
Support immunization programs, maternal and child health services, and nutrition interventions
Identify and report community health trends and outbreaks to appropriate health authorities
Support rapid response efforts to health outbreaks
Collaborate with local health facilities and organizations to ensure seamless service delivery and resource utilization
Facilitate training and capacity-building sessions for community volunteers and health workers
Use data collection tools to monitor health program progress and impact
Contribute to regular reporting requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Diploma or degree in Public Health, Nursing, or Rural Health
Experience in community health outreach or extension services is preferred
Sound knowledge of primary health care principles and practices
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to communicate health information effectively to diverse audiences
Proficiency in basic data collection and reporting
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality in healthcare
Strong cultural sensitivity
Ability to work in challenging environments with limited resources
