About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Technical Program Manager will support the Enterprise Applications team in enabling IRC's future state IT support model through the delivery of system enhancement and integration projects, primarily within the ServiceNow platform.
  • This includes managing the design and delivery of ServiceNow enhancements and integrations with other enterprise systems, coordinating release schedules, and ensuring technical solutions are well-documented, tested, and supportable as the platform evolves to meet growing organizational needs.
  • In this role, the Program Manager will use Agile methodologies to manage program workstreams, including product backlog management, sprint planning, and task management, acting as scrum master by educating the team on scrum, facilitating scrum events, and removing obstacles faced by engineering and technical teams.
  • They will work closely with solution architects, developers, and business system analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications, manage cross-system dependencies, and maintain clear technical documentation for partners across the organization.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-6 years demonstrable related work experience managing technical projects, system enhancements, and/or data/system integrations.
  • Experience with program/project management tools (e.g., Jira, Monday.com, Trello, Microsoft Planner).
  • Strong ability to enforce Agile methodologies through a Scrum Master role.
  • Experience working with highly technical resources, including developers, architects, and data engineers.
  • Working familiarity with system integration concepts and enterprise application platforms.
  • Ability to build and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and be flexible to change course through ambiguity.
  • Strong track record of effectively communicating advanced technical concepts to partners and team members with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Self-starter and a critical thinker who can work independently and drive projects forward.
  • The ability to learn global humanitarian aid programming (e.g., supply chain, grant proposals, program design, procurement) quickly.
  • Prior global NGO experience preferred.
