About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and be responsible for quantitative analysis and data management initiatives across Corporate Development
Provide strategic analytical leadership involving advanced analytical tool development
Produce regular reports on portfolio performance, model outputs, and key risk metrics across mortgage portfolios
Perform back testing and validation of existing models
Collaborate with senior team members to evaluate assets and contribute to financial models used in investment and capital markets decisions
Update model methodology, assumption, and output documentation for internal use and audit purposes
Lead cross functional projects to improve data workflows, database architecture, and reporting processes
Drive and contribute to ongoing process improvements, automation efforts, and data infrastructure enhancements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
7-10+ years of experience in data analysis, finance, or a related analytical role
3+ years of demonstrated experience in people management or team leadership role
Basic understanding of mortgage products, including reverse mortgages and/or forward mortgages, is required
Exposure to securitization, structured finance, or fixed income products is required
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with databases
Experience with Python, Excel, and other analytical tools preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work with large datasets and perform data validation
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to communicate findings clearly and work collaboratively within a team environment
Willingness to learn and develop technical and financial modeling skills
