About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage relationships with the assigned national accounts in partnership with field sales TMs, engaging key stakeholders including category managers, buyers, sales leaders, marketing, operations, and analytics teams.
  • Develop and maintain 1-, 3-, and 5-year account strategies for each assigned account, aligned to Metro’s corporate strategy and growth targets.
  • Execute Metro’s strategy at each account using available enablement mechanisms (e.g., promotions, e-commerce, marketing, catalogs, sales flyers, and training) to drive profitable growth.
  • Coordinate and communicate necessary account information to Metro Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), TMs, and independent sales representatives to support local execution.
  • Attend and coordinate Metro’s participation in national account annual sales meetings and/or trade shows.
  • Deliver recurring training and communications to the sales force and internal support teams to ensure consistent execution for assigned national accounts.
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with each national account, including channel marketing; coordinate biannual touchpoints with the Director.
  • Present account progress and current action plans in internal QBRs, and complete required monthly reporting for points of review (PORs).
  • Partner bi-weekly with Marketing, Channel Program Managers, Customer Service, Finance, and Operations to maintain a cohesive account strategy and resolve execution issues.
  • Assists in planning, monitoring, and/or managing budget in functional area of department.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of the Code of Business Ethics.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or related field
  • A minimum of five years’ relevant work experience is required.
