About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support bi-weekly payroll processing and payroll reporting
- Review timecards and payroll data for accuracy and completeness
- Assist with processing manual checks related to terminations, adjustments, or corrections
- Support payroll inputs including bonuses, commissions, and other variable compensation
- Assist with calculating final pay and payroll adjustments in accordance with company policy
- Respond to employee and manager payroll questions and escalate issues as needed
- Maintain payroll records and documentation in alignment with internal controls
- Support day-to-day benefits administration activities, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Run and maintain routine benefits reports related to enrollments, eligibility, deductions, etc.
- Assist with maintaining state payroll tax accounts and supporting state tax filings
- Help ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Assist employees with employment and income verification requests
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1–2 years of experience in payroll
- Exposure to multi-state payroll preferred
- Experience with Workday Payroll and/or ADP is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
