About the role
- Deliver end-to-end IT support services to end users, with a consistent focus on customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Provide systems administration support for servers, storage platforms, workstations, peripherals, communications devices, and software.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and operational readiness.
- Install, configure, harden, and test new or updated systems and system changes.
- Implement and validate software patches and security fixes in accordance with requirements from the Network Operations and Security Center and or the Program Management Office.
- Develop, execute, and continuously improve documentation related to system installation, configuration, hardening, and operations and maintenance activities.
- Accurate documentation of work performed, system status, and identified issues.
- Provide input to and follow established Configuration Management processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable technical and architectural standards, including Department of Defense and Air Force guidance.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with peers and relevant team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science related field, or an equivalent combination of at least four (4) years of related education, professional training, or relevant work experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of Systems Administration experience, preferably supporting an Air Force environment.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
- Current IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD 8140, such as Security+ CE or MCSA.
- Experience administering Linux and Windows operating systems (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience providing support across Configuration Management, Fault Management, Systems Administration, Database Configuration Control, Technical documentation and support services.
