About the role
- Lead the architecture and design of AI and data solutions for 1-2 clients across Australia (Microsoft ecosystem)
- Design modern, scalable solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Power BI, Microsoft Purview, and the broader Microsoft AI stack
- Define end-to-end architecture patterns across data ingestion, transformation, semantic modelling, governance, machine learning, and AI enablement
- Support the design of enterprise AI use cases including predictive analytics, generative AI, copilots, and intelligent automation
- Translate business and functional requirements into well-structured, secure, and scalable architecture designs
- Guide clients on platform modernisation and migration strategies into Microsoft Fabric and Azure-native environments
- Establish architecture guardrails, design standards, and best practices across performance, security, governance, and operational support
- Collaborate with engineering and consulting teams to ensure solutions are delivered in line with architecture intent and business outcomes
- Support data governance, lineage, quality, and compliance initiatives through Microsoft-centric capabilities such as Purview and Fabric
- Contribute to project planning, solution design, and delivery execution across a range of client engagements
- Support pre-sales, solution shaping, proposal development, and client workshops as we continue to grow our APAC footprint
Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience in data, analytics, AI, or architecture roles, with strong consulting or client-facing exposure
- Proven experience designing enterprise data and AI solutions on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric
- Strong understanding of Fabric capabilities including Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence, OneLake, and Power BI
- Experience architecting modern AI solutions using Azure AI services, Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, or Microsoft Copilot-related patterns
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles including medallion design, semantic modelling, master data, metadata, lineage, and governance
- Experience with Microsoft Purview and enterprise data governance practices is highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, access models, privacy, and responsible AI considerations within Microsoft environments
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and translate strategy into practical architecture and delivery plans
- Excellent communication, written and spoken
- Ability to work independently, flexibly, and collaboratively across distributed teams
