About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Designs, integrates, tests, installs, configures, and/or supports Factory Automation AMHS controls software systems
- Generates metrics to measure overall/key areas of equipment performance (KPIs) and analysis of such metrics would be used to drive effective improvements across the operation
- Drives continuous improvement efforts to meet Automation systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs
- Serves as expert for a designated set of automation AMHS controls systems
- Support Intel's 24x7 high availability automation environment and be part of an on-call rotation group outside of normal business hours.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Bachelor's degree 2+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree and 1+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, including unit testing and software integration
- Hands-on experience with software debugging and problem-solving in complex systems.
- Experience with semiconductor High Volume Manufacturing processes.
- AMHS Material Controls Systems (MCS) experience
- Proficiency in Linux, Unix and Perl or Python for data extraction and analysis
- Knowledge of automated material handling systems (AMHS) hardware and control systems
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design of Experiments (DOE), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Understanding of theoretical and practical aspects of project management, with knowledge of project management tools and techniques
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments.
- Familiarity with middleware fundamentals and automated material handling systems for manufacturing.
