About the role
- Partner with distributor FAEs and the regional Distribution Sales Manager
- Work with our distribution FAEs to promote Altera technology to win new FPGA business: Present the technical capabilities of whole product portfolio
- Engage with customers' architects and key decision makers to understand their applications, influence their design choices, and develop creative solutions to their problems
- Create and deliver technical proposals based on product knowledge, customer requirements, and inputs from internal teams.
- Contribute to and execute on territory, account, and opportunity plans.
- Provide technical support to customers.
- Mentor and teach distribution FAEs to develop technical knowledge and skills.
- Build strong and influential relationships within Altera and the customer base.
- Lead the technical development & execution of product and applications based customer campaigns and proofs of concept.
Requirements
- BS in Electronics Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of design experience and 3+ years of experience in Field Applications Engineering.
- Must have good presentation and interpersonal skills and be comfortable presenting technology and products.
- Must be proficient in the use of FPGA development tools.
- Willing to travel.
