About the role

  • Provide technical support to Intel Foundry Services customers on layout verification and parasitic extraction
  • Collaborate with internal Intel teams and external stakeholders (customer design teams, IP providers, EDA vendors) on physical/layout design rules and extraction issue resolution
  • Create content, application notes, and deliver technical training and presentations
  • Drive quality of design kits and documentation; remove barriers to successful customer design tape-outs
  • Contribute to Intel Foundry (IDM2.0) initiatives and support Aerospace, Defense and Government (ADG) customers

Requirements

  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or in a STEM related field of study
  • 5+ years of experience with advanced CMOS processes (22nm and below)
  • 4+ years of experience in layout verification EDA tools
  • 4+ years of experience in scripting languages like Python, Perl, Tcl, and/or shell scripting
  • Self-driven and results-oriented; able to manage multiple tasks
  • Analytical problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Preferred: Active US Government Security Clearance (Secret)
  • Preferred: Post Graduate degree in relevant STEM field
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience in LVS, DRC, ERC, PERC
  • Preferred: Experience with ICV, Calibre and Pegasus layout editing tools and flows
  • Preferred: Experience in parasitic extraction using StarRC, Quantus, and xACT
  • Preferred: Rule deck coding experience in ICV, Calibre or Pegasus
  • Preferred: Experience providing technical direction to engineering teams and customer-facing support
