About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate business requirements into data and technical requirements
- Develop, test, and maintain factory automation database systems
- Create robust, reliable, and high-performance database systems for manufacturing data pipelines
- Analyze, prototype, and enhance automation solutions to improve factory performance, output, and cycle time while meeting environmental constraints
- Partner with automation engineers, manufacturing planners, and industrial engineers on data-driven solutions
- Use machine learning, statistical analysis, and optimization algorithms
- Provide input to technical documentation and create product manuals
- Support post-deployment systems for optimal performance and scalability
- Adapt and prioritize work based on changing business needs
- Support 24/7 manufacturing capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- US Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain US Government TS Security Clearance and SCI access
- BS degree with 7+ years of experience, or MS degree with 5+ years of experience, or PhD degree with 3+ years of experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in large-scale enterprise database design, development, deployment, and performance tuning
- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and PL/SQL development
- 4+ years of experience in data transformations, data structures, metadata, and workload management
- 4+ years of experience in object-oriented software design and/or development and building distributed systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
- Ability to work in ambiguous environments and self-motivation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to quickly learn and master various facets of Intel's business
