  • Explain coding rationale and documentation needs to stakeholders
  • Drive consistency and reduce variation in complex coding practices
  • Ensure coding outcomes support reimbursement, reporting, and compliance
  • Apply updated coding guidance and support adoption of best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2 year coding experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One of the following certifications: AHIMA-RHIA, AHIMA-RHIT, AHIMA-CCS, AAPC-CPC, AAPC-CIC, or AAPPC-COC
  • Apply advanced specialty coding to complex surgical encounters
  • Interpret operative reports and clinical documentation
  • Use modifier logic and coding principles to support compliant reimbursement
  • Resolve complex coding scenarios with consistency and precision
  • Surgical CPT coding experience preferred
