About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Schedules and confirms departmental procedures in collaboration with appropriate personnel, ensuring alignment with the current hospital physician privilege list
- Reviews and verifies procedure schedules on a daily and ongoing basis to ensure accuracy
- Coordinates the availability of shared equipment with patient care and service areas during the scheduling process
- Effectively manages a high volume of incoming calls and scheduling activity
- Demonstrates strong communication skills when interacting with staff, providers, and departments
- Maintains the ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced, and high-stress environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proficient in the use of computers, phone systems, and general office equipment
- Requires strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Possess a good understanding of medical terminology (preferred)
- One year of related scheduling experience (preferred)
