Interpret referrals; examine, evaluate, and develop/modify occupational therapy plan of care including anticipated goals and expected outcomes
Perform comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and safety assessments and document findings in the clinical record
Coordinate patient care with other clinical team members to ensure optimal care and communication
Direct Occupational Therapy Assistants to perform specific components of treatment while retaining responsibility for the episode of care
Act as clinical instructor and assist with orientation of new employees or volunteers
Provide and modify skilled interventions using therapeutic procedures and techniques to meet diagnosis and prognosis (Rehab and Mental Health)
Initiate corrective actions when abnormal conditions or responses are noted
Produce concise, legible, accurate written reports in a timely manner
Assess and provide age-specific and culturally appropriate care across the developmental lifespan
Plan and provide skilled occupational therapy treatment in the home and maintain required home health documentation (Home Health)
Report to assigned Manager or Director and may float to other units, be on-call, work weekends, or follow a flex schedule
Work daily with wheelchairs, walkers, and other rehab equipment; manage exposure to pool chemicals, heat/humidity (aquatics), and other occupational hazards
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
Current Oklahoma Occupational Therapist license OR eligibility for Oklahoma license and ability to practice under the Oklahoma Occupational Therapy Practice Act
Must complete licensure within 6 months after initial temporary license is issued (must present letter/permit proving eligibility upon hire)
Current BLS or CPR certification upon hire or completion within 30 days of hire required
Previous relevant experience preferred
Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
For Occupational Therapists conducting home evaluations: current driver's license from state of residence and driving record acceptable to insurance carrier
Aquatics Department: 2 years of experience and aquatic experience preferred; must complete Water Safety Certification within 6 months of hire
Hand Therapy Department: Certified Hand Therapist preferred
Therapy Resource Pool: 2 years of experience preferred; may require operating INTEGRIS-owned or personal vehicle and acceptable driving record
Community Re-entry Department: 2 years of inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred; may require operating vehicle and acceptable driving record
