About the role
- Work day shift with INTEGRIS Health Enid Hospital Jim Thorpe Outpatient Rehab team providing occupational therapy services
- Interpret referrals; examine, evaluate, and develop and modify occupational therapy plan of care including anticipated goals and expected outcomes for patients.
- Perform comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and safety assessments and document clinically
- Coordinate patient care with other clinical team members ensuring optimal patient care and communication
- Direct Occupational Therapy Assistants and remain responsible for episode of patient care
- May act as clinical instructor and assist with orientation of new employees or volunteers
- Provide and modify skilled interventions (Rehab and Mental Health)
- Provide skilled occupational therapy treatment in home settings and maintain documentation (Home Health)
- Report to assigned Manager or Director
- Potentially float to other units, be on call, work weekends or flex schedule; use wheelchairs, walkers, and other rehab equipment daily
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.
- Current Oklahoma Occupational Therapist license OR be eligible for license in the state of Oklahoma AND able to practice under the Oklahoma Occupational Therapy Practice Act. Must have completed licensure by 6 months after initial temporary license is issued. (Must present letter/permit proving eligibility upon hire.)
- Current BLS or CPR certification upon hire or completion within 30 days of hire required
- Previous relevant experience is preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written).
- For home evaluations: current Drivers License and acceptable driving record
- Aquatics Department: 2 years of experience and aquatic experience preferred. Must complete Water Safety Certification within 6 month of hire date.
- Hand Therapy Department: Certified Hand Therapist preferred.
- Therapy Resource Pool: 2 years of experience preferred; may require driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Community Re-entry Department: 2 years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation preferred; may require driver's license and acceptable driving record
