About the role
- Part of the Clinical Inpatient team providing support to INTEGRIS Health caregivers and the community
- Implement, configure, and maintain Epic and other clinical applications, including the EHR and clinical decision support systems
- Collaborate with clinical end-users, IT staff, and vendors to identify opportunities for improving clinical workflows
- Participate in system testing and validation to ensure clinical applications meet regulatory requirements and user needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures
- Participate in testing and validation activities related to Epic software upgrades and enhancements
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues with clinical applications and provide timely resolution
- Keep up to date with solutions in the Epic System or other clinical applications
- Work collaboratively with operational and medical staff leaders to implement and align strategic initiatives
- Participate in all phases of the system development life cycle including development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions
- Participate in rounding in collaboration with clinical and business end users
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience, or Associate’s with 2 years of experience, or 3 years of healthcare or IT experience
- Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology
- Epic Certification is required (certifications may include: EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, Radiant, Cupid, Optime, Anesthesia, Grand Central or other relevant Epic Apps)
- Occasional travel maybe required
- Previous experience using verbal and written communication to a variety of audiences through a range of modalities
- Knowledge of clinical workflows and processes, and experience in implementing and supporting clinical software applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to clinical staff members and other stakeholders
- Working knowledge of IT solutions and interfacing preferred
