About the role

  • Mentoring and training of junior team members
  • Serves as an escalation point for Infrastructure Engineers
  • Conducts current state analysis of systems and procedures and recommends system design or modifications to achieve desired goals
  • Assists with roadmap planning of production infrastructure keeping versions current and supported
  • Implements and maintains enterprise standards for applications and infrastructure
  • Installs and configures systems according to design specifications
  • Assists with analysis, troubleshooting, repairing and performance tuning of complex systems and hardware components
  • Supports the ITIL Service Transition process ensuring new and modified services are appropriately documented, including as-built documentation, and Operations personnel (Service Desk and L2 Operations) are informed and trained
  • Supports testing and evaluation of technologies under review
  • Actively monitors the environment and appropriately assigns problem tickets, incidents, and schedules reviews to determine support needs for existing and new systems
  • Provides technical support and 24X7 incident response
  • Completes root cause analysis on failures resulting in downtime or performance outside of service level agreement tolerances
  • Assists with the development and ongoing support of annual infrastructure performance and capacity reports
  • Effectively communicates with business professionals, application owners, and customers in plain English while keeping their needs and the needs of IT in mind
  • Reports to a Manager of Information Technology Services and responds to Lead Engineers, Architects, Project and Service Management Offices
  • May be required to walk or drive to and from various INTEGRIS Health facilities and work long hours during projects or emergency situations

Requirements

  • 4 years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • Previous work experience with demonstrable experience supporting multiple Infrastructure disciplines
  • Works with the business units to assist with the application of technology
  • Intermediate level certification (ex. Include: RHCSA, CCNA, MCSA, VCP, VCAP, VCDX, CWNA, EMCSA, ACIS, CCP) or intermediate level storage certification preferred
  • 4 years' experience can substitute certification requirement
  • ITIL certification within 6 months of employment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)
  • Previous work experience with Wide Area and Local Area Network Infrastructure
  • Previous work experience with management platforms and remote monitoring preferred
  • Previous work experience with a protocol analyzer preferred
  • Must have experience in mid to large enterprise environment
  • Working knowledge of Storage Area Networks and Fiber Channel Switch Infrastructure
  • 50% of relevant experience must be with an emphasis in storage related infrastructure
  • Microsoft certifications preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Active Directory preferred
  • Requires knowledge in telephone switching architecture including legacy and VoIP systems
  • Requires working knowledge of mobile telecommunications provisioning and troubleshooting
  • Requires the ability to use and interpret syslog and call detail records
  • Knowledge of telecommunications alarm management platforms and remote monitoring experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Ethernet, Internet Protocol, Routing, and QoS preferred
