About the role
- Defines tasks, assignments and standards related to sourcing data and maintaining a stable data platform; intermediate to expert level skills
- Design, develop and implement scalable custom solutions that require extensibility either via SSIS or Plugins, APIs, etc.
- Oversee bringing new source systems into the data operating System
- Coach and train other Data Engineers on best practices and design principles
- Schedules, coordinates, and leads design reviews
- Involved in internal technology review sessions to understand new/deprecated features and their impacts to implementation process along with provide feedback to the technology team
- Balance tasks and priorities between multiple projects and initiatives; ensure assigned tasks are executed efficiently and according to project requirements and timelines
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, or healthcare-related degree
- 4+ years’ experience in healthcare/technology-related field
- Ability to code and comprehend code around technologies that deal with acquiring data
- Preferred: 1+ experience in the Health Catalyst DO??Platform
- Experience with processing HL7 messages, CCD documents, and EDI X12 Claims files
- Familiarity with development methodologies, including the AGILE development approaches
- Experience and/or training in continuous improvement methodologies including Lean & Six Sigma, Change Management, Facilitation Skills and Project Management
