About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own key components of the monthly close cycle
Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, recurring adjustments, and revenue/expense recognition
Maintain close-cycle workpapers and support schedules
Complete recurring close tasks accurately and on time
Perform balance sheet reconciliations, prepaid schedules, accrual reconciliations, and account analysis
Reconcile cash, fees, reserves, and net payout activity across platforms, vendors, and channel statements
Support A2X and platform-to-GL data flows
Identify anomalies, missing entries, and coding inconsistencies
Perform trend, variance, and account-level analysis
Translate transactional data into financial narratives for leadership
Maintain general ledger and chart of accounts discipline
Improve close-cycle processes, documentation, workpapers, and reconciliation workflows
Partner on accounting initiatives supporting channel expansion and business growth

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years of professional accounting experience with strong exposure to monthly close cycles
Accounting or Finance degree
Experience with journal entries, accruals, prepaid schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and workpaper preparation
Strong general ledger and chart of accounts discipline
High attention to detail while working quickly and precisely
Strong analytical fluency in reconciliation accuracy, trend validation, and financial integrity
Ability to turn raw transactional data into trusted financial information
Experience improving close-cycle confidence through documentation rigor and account-level accuracy
Strong cross-functional partnership skills
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Ability to work consistently within U.S. business hours and time zones
Computer, reliable internet connection, and distraction-free work environment
Ability to accommodate limited required travel up to 10%
Experience in DTC, eCommerce, Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, or settlement-heavy environments is ideal
Familiarity with Fulfill, QuickBooks Online, or similar accounting systems is ideal
