About the role
- Own the profit and loss (P&L) responsibility for assigned projects.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans aligned with the approved scope of supply, schedule, and customer expectations.
- Review sales order and contract documents to ensure scope, deliverables, and responsibilities are clearly defined.
- Verify that project designs comply with contract documents, technical specifications, industry standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare accurate and complete project submittals that meet technical and commercial requirements.
- Serve as the primary internal and external customer contact from project award through final acceptance.
- Develop detailed bills of materials (BOMs) to support procurement of all project deliverables.
- Manage equipment procurement, delivery logistics, and project timelines.
- Provide technical support to Sales and Technical Services, including participation in offsite meetings, onsite support, and occasional light assembly.
- Respond to technical questions related to drawings, assigned projects, and general system inquiries.
- Collaborate with Designers, Project Managers, Field Service Technicians, and other internal resources to generate, review, and verify sound designs.
- Review drawings and schematics for accuracy and constructability.
- Support and provide backup coverage for other Project Managers as required.
- Contribute to continuous product improvement and new product development initiatives.
- Travel as required for project kickoff meetings, progress inspections, troubleshooting, and technical consultations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business or equivalent years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years of project management experience in a role requiring specialized technical product knowledge.
- 2+ years of experience working with MBR systems or similar wastewater treatment technologies preferred.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and review schematics, mechanical drawings, civil drawings, and technical specifications.
- Basic understanding of electrical control systems and PLC programming.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes, industry standards, and quality control procedures.
- Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD, ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant company software tools.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as required, including walking, climbing stairs, navigating around equipment, sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
