About the role
- Provide technical support to Manufacturing Operations.
- Develop manufacturing process layouts and tool designs.
- Collaborate with machinists to improve efficiency.
- Apply Lean manufacturing principles.
- Conduct research for equipment acquisition.
- Program CNC machines using CAM systems.
- Train Production Engineers and support team knowledge development.
- Troubleshoot assembly and manufacturing issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a machine shop environment; proficiency with CAM programs required.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Blueprint reading and trigonometry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Team player with customer focus.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of CNC programming, ISO procedures, tool knowledge, and fixture design.
- Unigraphics and MCS 365 knowledge required.
- Occasional lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed; occasional travel may be required.
