About the role

  • Assist in the development, evaluation, and improvement of manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine production requirements, specifications, and cost targets
  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, including standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Conduct periodic audits on manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Support the identification and implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical support to production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of manufacturing equipment and machinery, including coordination of installation and validation processes
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials, components, and equipment for production
  • Assist in the development and execution of training programs to educate manufacturing personnel on new processes, equipment, and safety protocols
  • Provide cost analysis and recommendations for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and material selection to optimize manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs
  • Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities for manufacturing quality issues
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new product introductions and process improvements
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements in manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for innovation and productivity enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, safety, and regulatory standards in the manufacturing processes
  • Handle any other duties or assignments as directed by senior manufacturing engineers or managers

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelors degree or combination of relevant education and work experience may be substituted to meet educational requirements only
  • 0-2+ years of relevant experience required
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, processes, and technologies is essential
  • Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software, computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software, and other engineering tools is often required
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software and programming languages may also be advantageous
  • Strong Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product designers, process engineers, and quality control
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
