About the role
- Providing clinical oversight and performing medical necessity reviews for home health and durable medical equipment (DME)
- Support timely, evidence-based decisions aligned with payer policy and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with utilization management, care coordination, and provider-network engagement teams to support care delivery
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board Certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation)
- Active, unrestricted medical license in at least one state
- Residency in a U.S. state is required
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience involving patient care
- Experience in home health, DME, or post-acute care preferred
- Experience in utilization management or health plan medical review is highly desirable
- Familiarity with NCQA standards as well as CMS Clinical Guidelines preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with physicians, providers, and health plan teams
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs), authorization platforms, and documentation systems preferred
