About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze and understand each client's sectoral, geographic, and strategic challenges
  • Implement SEO strategies for different types of websites (local, e‑commerce, franchise, and YMYL)
  • Design GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategies: anticipate the impact of generative engines and LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, etc.) on clients' organic visibility and adapt strategies accordingly
  • Support the department head with annual reviews, strategy renewals, and management of complex performance issues
  • Manage a client portfolio
  • Act as a strategic partner to clients
  • Execute one-off assignments: technical audits, redesign support, UX audits, etc.
  • Analyze performance reports and meet with clients to present monthly results
  • Collaborate with one or more team members
  • Monitor and disseminate SEO/GEO best practices within the team
  • Assist the department head in structuring the department (new product, new internal process, etc.)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 4 years of SEO experience in an agency
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, GTmetrix, Screaming Frog, Yoast SEO, Site Explorer, etc.) and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console)
  • Practical experience with and mastery of WordPress, Shopify, and Webflow (page creation/optimization and media insertion/compression tools)
  • Digital Garage & Semrush Academy SEO Fundamental Exam certifications: a plus
  • Fluent French and excellent English, both spoken and written, required
  • Strong understanding of LLM and GEO-related challenges and the ability to advise clients on the transition from traditional SEO to generative search
