About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serving as principal-in-charge for complex soil, groundwater investigation and remediation projects.
- Serving as a consulting and/or testifying expert on complex litigation matters.
- Advising clients on technical risk, regulatory strategy, and remediation approaches associated with redevelopment, transactions, or long-term liability management.
- Interfacing with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies to support permitting, compliance, and closure strategies.
- Providing senior technical review of reports, designs, and modeling analyses to ensure defensibility and technical rigor.
- Mentoring senior and mid-level staff and contributing to the development of technical standards, best practices, and thought leadership.
- Contributing to business development through proposal support, technical scoping, and strengthening long-term client relationships.
Requirements
What you’ll need- M.S. or Ph.D. degree in geology, hydrogeology, environmental chemistry or related field
- Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer license
- 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting
- Proven leadership on investigation/remediation projects as a strategic advisor to clients
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A desire to grow both intellectually and professionally
- Strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.
