About the role
- Assisting with the monthly and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
- Preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
- Supporting the preparation of internal management reporting, variance analysis, and financial schedules
- Assisting with maintaining and improving internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
- Coordinating with external auditors during annual audits and other reviews
- Supporting compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory requirements
- Partnering with the Controller and operational teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and special projects
- Supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting staff
- Supporting the Controller with due diligence and integration of acquisitions
- Identifying opportunities for process automation, system enhancements, and efficiency improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or industry)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems and advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Supervisory experience
