About the role

  • Provide leadership and management oversight for all contractor personnel supporting AMC/A5/8 mission planning modernization efforts.
  • Link operational requirements to technical integration, ensuring that MAF user needs are aligned with system capabilities and interoperability goals.
  • Support matrixed teams across AMC, AFLCMC, developers, and functional users by providing recommendations on scope, requirements, and system interoperability.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and AMC leadership for all matters related to contract performance.
  • Coordinate team deliverables, ensuring requirements documents, training plans, and analysis products are accurate, timely, and meet government standards.
  • Track and manage action items, risks, and performance metrics to ensure successful delivery of all contract objectives.
  • Facilitate communication across stakeholders to synchronize requirements, technical solutions, and training support.
  • Provide senior-level analysis and recommendations to support decision-making in requirements prioritization and system development planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Systems Management, Aeronautics, or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of experience managing defense programs, mission planning systems, or operational requirements projects.
  • Proven experience in project or task management roles supporting Air Force or DoD programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, deliver high-quality documentation, and interface with senior government stakeholders.
  • Must Have Experience With: DoD program management or task order leadership.
  • Air Mobility Command operations or mission planning processes.
  • Coordinating cross-functional and multi-organizational teams.
  • Developing and tracking deliverables, schedules, and action items.
  • Certifications and Training: Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Annual DoD Cyber Awareness training.
  • DAWIA Program Management or ITIL certifications a plus.
  • Proficiency In: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Project management tools (Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar).
  • Collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Microsoft Teams).
