About the role
- Lead and manage multiple DoD software development projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with approved scope, cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and update Program/Project Management documentation, including Project Management Plans, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Risk Management Plans, Integrated Master Schedules, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes.
- Facilitate program and project meetings, including sprint planning sessions, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, stakeholder reviews, and executive briefings.
- Apply Agile Framework methodologies, including user story development, backlog management, sprint execution, prioritization, and adaptive planning to accommodate evolving requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate activities of cross-functional project team members, including software developers, engineers, and support personnel.
- Review and approve project deliverables to ensure technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with DoD standards and contractual requirements.
- Manage risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution processes to minimize impacts to program execution.
- Utilize ServiceNow to support project tracking, workflow management, task assignments, and reporting.
- Monitor program performance metrics and provide status reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with DoD stakeholders to ensure software development efforts align with mission priorities and operational requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Agile best practices and promote collaboration across cross-functional teams to enhance productivity and delivery outcomes.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance program and project management effectiveness.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Program/Project Management, Business Management, or related discipline.
- Certifications: Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
- Experience: 5 years of demonstrated program and/or project management experience.
- 5 years of demonstrated knowledge developing Program/Project Management documentation (Project Management Plan, WBS, Risk Management Plan, Project Schedule, meeting documentation).
- 5 years of demonstrated knowledge utilizing Agile Frameworks and associated practices, including user stories, sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and retrospectives.
- 5 years of DoD experience.
- 5 years of DoD Software Development Project and Program Management experience.
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience utilizing ServiceNow.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask by managing multiple concurrent projects and overseeing project team members while reviewing and approving deliverables.
- Desired/Preferred Scrum Master certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent).
