About the role

  • Conduct data analytics to extract, condition, cleanse, and normalize large, complex datasets supporting NTC investigations. Apply advanced statistical and analytic methods to reveal patterns of illicit activity across multiple domains (financial, communications, logistics, cyber). Formulate technical specifications for new datasets; integrate them into analytic workflows using Power Query, PowerBI, Python, and I2 Analyst Notebook. Develop automated data cleaners, filters, and models to support network development, entity enrichment, and predictive analysis. Perform cryptocurrency analysis, including: Tracing blockchain transactions across custodial/non-custodial wallets. Identifying obfuscation patterns (mixers, tumblers). Mapping illicit inflows/outflows to exchanges and counterparties. Recognizing laundering schemes through crypto flows. Design data models and predictive tools to identify correlations and illicit financial activities. Create tailored visualizations, dashboards, and reports for operational use by DoD, IC, and law enforcement partners. Conduct knowledge transfer and brown-bag sessions to train analysts on data/crypto analytic methods. Support integration of new analytic capabilities, datasets, and workflow automation into the NTC environment.

Extracting, cleansing, normalizing, and transforming large structured/unstructured datasets. Data analytics and visualization tools (PowerBI, Power Query, Python, I2 Analyst Notebook). Blockchain/cryptocurrency analysis, wallet tracing, and transaction monitoring. Identifying laundering/obfuscation techniques in crypto transactions (mixers, tumblers, anonymization). Developing automated data workflows for entity resolution, network mapping, and predictive modeling. Law enforcement/IC data exploitation for operational targeting and investigations. Delivering analytic findings in reports, dashboards, and visualizations for operational audiences.
