About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the PFR (Prioritization and funding review) and Budgeting
  • Collect the various request on a monthly basis
  • Challenge each item and align with the finance team to ensure adequate financial impacts to the IT budget
  • Prepare appropriate executive presentations in a timely manner
  • Provide cost estimation support for new and ongoing projects
  • Track and monitor project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, and actuals
  • Review and analyse resource planning and allocation to ensure alignment with financial objectives
  • Collaborate with the various IT stakeholders to manage initiative budgets
  • Develop detailed financial reports and dashboards for stakeholders and leadership
  • Identify, assess and track financial benefits related to initiative execution
  • Partner with finance teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure financial alignment
  • Enhance financial tracking processes and tools to improve accuracy and efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA (preferred)
  • Over 5 years of experience in financial analysis, project management finance, or a similar role
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus
  • Proficiency in financial management software (SAP, Oracle)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, financial modeling)
  • Experience with financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Bilingualism is required for candidates located in Quebec.
