About the role
- Advise customers on appropriate insurance products and answer product questions
- Analyze individual customer needs, promote and cross-sell personal insurance products and services
- Accept and process payment method changes and update customer accounts accurately and timely
- Handle telephone and electronic inquiries from existing customers, provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly
- Become a trusted advisor helping Canadians protect their assets
- Participate in mentoring and training provided by the company
- Potential for promotion after six months based on performance
Requirements
- You self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis)
- At least one year of customer service experience in a call center environment.
- Previous experience in sales and customer loyalty is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for customers and colleagues, and the ability to understand and empathize with others.
- Proficiency in technology and ease in navigating multiple systems.
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
- You must be prepared to study for and pass the provincial insurance licensing exam with the support of our in-house training team.
- Bilingualism in English and French is a considerable advantage.
- No Canadian work experience is required, but candidates must be authorized to work in Canada full-time.
- During training, availability to work 35 hours, Monday to Friday, with day time shifts (9am to 5pm).
- After training, availability to work 35 hours, including every Saturday, with evening shift (between 10.30am and 8pm).
- During the first year, you will be asked to work on public holidays and will be paid in accordance with labor standards.
