Claims Adjuster I, Property
IntactClaims Adjuster assisting customers in Mississauga, Ajax, and Richmond Hill with property claims. Investigating claims, analyzing coverage, and providing superior customer service in a dynamic team environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide a superior quality of customer service to external and internal customers, through proactive contact with the customer during the claims process.
- Assess and analyze policy wordings and damage to determine appropriate coverage.
- Investigate property claims in a timely manner through communication with the customer, vendors, experts, adjusters and any other related parties.
- Negotiate with customers, third parties and insurers to settle claims, within your established authority scope.
- Provide phone queue support to complete new claims intake and handle inquiry calls.
- Stay in the know about current insurance products and trends in appraisal and investigation techniques and services.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A college diploma or a university degree is preferred
- 1-2 years of claims experience preferred
- Demonstrates a passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and goal oriented, capable of working in a fast paced and changing environment
- Demonstrates strong problem solving and priority management skills
- Strong aptitude for technology with excellent computer skills
- On-going commitment to self-development
- Willing to pursue your Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation
