About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Management of internal monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting by working closely with various distribution entities and finance teams.
Analyze and understand results in collaboration with business partners.
Consolidate our different entities with handling of eliminations entries.
Advise the team on the accounting and operationalization of complex transactions and financial restructurings.
Support our business units in the management of their financial performance, including our portfolio of private equity.
Participate in the financial systems and accounting processes improvement initiatives.
Simplify, standardize, secure and increase controls of different work files.
Make recommendations and suggestions to management based on your expertise.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Professional accounting designation (CPA) or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, IFRS accounting standards and/or finance.
Experience in consolidation in large companies with complex legal structures.
Knowledge of the insurance industry is an asset.
Fast learning, agility and adaptability to change.
Discipline, autonomy, resourcefulness and professionalism.
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Can interact with various people at all levels of the organization, including management and some external stakeholders.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
