About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in strategic initiatives that enhance pricing sophistication within ratemaking and help explain nationwide performance by supporting earnings call preparation.
Deliver actuarial support for large-account pricing across more than 22 lines of business, strengthening governance through indications, rate committees, and corporate planning processes.
Drive change by improving work processes, adopting modern technologies and making substantial observations, conclusions and recommendations.
Use your expertise to resolve complex problems and help your colleagues in doing the same by sharing your actuarial knowledge.
Help guide and prioritize the team’s work and coach effectively to strengthen both individual and group success.
Share the conclusions of your analysis to the appropriate stakeholders and make recommendations within the established timelines.

Requirements

What you’ll need

University Degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience
Certifications in Mathematics, Actuarial, ACAS preferred
3 years or more of actuarial experience (preferably in the P&C Insurance sector)
Good knowledge with Python, VBA, R or SAS
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
