Team Lead, Actuarial, Operational Performance Analytics
IntactTeam Lead in Actuarial team managing 1–3 analysts to enhance operational excellence at Intact. Driving analytical objectives while providing coaching and technical guidance.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a small team of 1–3 actuarial analysts while serving as both technical and project lead
- Contribute to executing key actuarial objectives by actively participating in hands-on work
- Provide technical advice to team members, ensuring the quality of their work and formulating recommendations
- Manage the evaluation, development, and coaching of team members to achieve the company’s strategic objectives
- Manage team’s activities by organizing, planning and controlling the optimal use of resources according to company strategies and budget planning
- Represent the actuarial function in various working groups/committees and act as a point of contact with other business units.
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience
- Job-specific designation: Mathematics, Actuarial Science, FCAS or FCIA an asset
- Minimum of 5 years experience, including 1 year of coaching (major asset)
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of actuarial techniques
- Bilingualism required for candidates located in Quebec considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
