About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide leadership and manage the operations of the Ontario in-house Surveillance Investigations team
Develop, support and focus on leading an engaged team
Review Investigation files and act in a consultative and advisory capacity on claims matters
Provide effective leadership, motivate staff and be responsible for hiring employees and delivering performance feedback
Review the work and final products of your team; provide coaching, feedback and/or training as required
Oversee schedules, manage productivity and ensure Service Level Agreements are met
Conduct audits to ensure adherence with quality standards
Collaborate with leadership nationally to facilitate optimization and alignment of best practices
Lead and execute cross-functional projects that align with and advance key business objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role
1+ years in a management role is required
Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to motivate, develop and coach staff
Investigation or Loss Prevention experience preferred
Experience in adjusting P&C Insurance claims is an asset
Investigation experience and familiarity with fraud trends is an asset
Familiarity with more than one line of business (AB, BI, Property, Auto) is an asset
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with all levels of staff
A sense of urgency in your work while multitasking
Completed or working toward a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is an asset
