General Counsel

• Provide support on a broad range of insurance regulatory matters pertaining to our companies’ operations in the province of Quebec and more broadly in Canada.
• Act as Legal Counsel or Senior Counsel on behalf of Intact Financial Corporation (IFC) and its subsidiaries, primarily in insurance regulatory law including the development and distribution of insurance products, market conduct requirements, federal and provincial licensing, and marketing law.
• Provide legal guidance on day-to-day operational matters.
• Analyse, draft, and negotiate various service and distribution contracts.
• Ensure the integrity of the legal and regulatory aspects of the distribution of the financial products and services offered by IFC companies and ensure that the values of the organization are respected.
• Participate in a variety of national strategic projects in collaboration with the Director or Vice President of Legal Affairs, when appropriate.
