Key responsibilities & impact

Directs effective product development, pricing and underwriting
Manages all components of profit, loss, and expenses for a significant specialty product line
Achieves profitability and growth goals through the development and execution of annual strategic plan
Analyzes book trends and manages catastrophe plans
Communicates and acts on regulatory and legal environments information
Develops methods for building and mobilizing a technically competent and highly effective staff
Ensures compliance with underwriting standards and authorities
Directs underwriting decisions and participates in the creation of underwriting guidelines

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required
10 years insurance experience or related education/experience
Minimum 5-7 Supervisory/Management years of experience required
MBA, CPCU or RPLU designation highly desirable
