About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead management’s risk‑based assessment and testing of internal controls over financial reporting in compliance with SOX Section 404.
Define annual and interim testing strategies, scope, and timelines.
Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Internal Audit, and IT.
Oversee the execution and quality of control testing.
Evaluate testing results and identify, assess, and classify control deficiencies.
Own deficiency tracking, remediation planning, and validation of corrective actions.
Prepare clear, risk‑focused reporting and dashboards summarizing testing results.
Drive continuous improvement of testing methodologies and quality controls.
Manage, mentor, and develop a team of managers and analysts.
Maintain strong governance over SOX calendars, milestones, and deliverables.

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of experience in internal controls, SOX compliance, or audit within a large organization.
Proven ability to design and execute testing programs and manage remediation processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Professional designation (CPA or equivalent) preferred.
