About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate regularly with the UX team and project stakeholders
  • Participate in discovery sessions

  • Collaborate with user researchers on interviews, surveys, shadowing, and usage-data analytics

  • Apply and advocate for user-centered design and product-development processes and best practices
  • Participate in design reviews and explain design concepts and decisions to product/development teams, customers, and stakeholders
  • Use established design-system components and patterns consistently and provide feedback on usability, efficiency, and consistency
  • Learn insurance-industry business needs by market
  • Stay current on industry and job-related trends and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Early-career UX candidates and career changers encouraged to apply
  • Strong portfolio, relevant coursework, internships, projects, or demonstrated industry understanding valued; little to no shipped work is acceptable
  • Strong in one and capable in at least two of: design workshops, storytelling, information architecture, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, research/usability
  • User-focused mentality
  • Experience collaborating with UX team members
  • Emerging AI/ML product-design awareness
  • Problem-solving ability in complex B2B ecosystems
  • Analytical and critical-thinking skills

  • Familiarity with remote collaboration tools such as video conferencing and whiteboarding
  • Willingness to experiment with emerging technologies
  • Insurity Academy certifications to be completed after hire: Introduction to Insurance, Types of Insurance, Lifecycle of an Insurance Policy, and Insurance Entities
  • Travel requirement of 0–10%
