About the role
- Own the process of researching, aggregating, and analyzing data to support Insurify’s content and front-end features
- Assist in the effort to create more efficient processes for:
- Developing, cleaning, and integrating new data sources
- Creating replicable, scalable aggregation views of proprietary dataset(s)
- Displaying aggregated data in support of Insurify content
- Analyze SEO product and business performance data by:
- Running A/B tests
- Maintaining dashboards and preparing key visuals for broader stakeholders
- Diving deep in the data to uncover new insights in user behavior
- Document and create solutions for data quality issues
- Ultimately, we want someone excited to tackle various structured and unstructured problems using data
Requirements
- A quick study, eager to learn and master complex data models and produce insightful analyses
- B.A. / B.S. degree in technical/quantitative disciplines or equivalent experience.
- Experience with SQL, Python, spreadsheets
- Have an interest in or have experience in the building of modern web applications and web product management
- Willing and motivated to learn the business and industry background to make sense of the data
- A team player with a solid work ethic ready to pivot between projects, learn from mistakes, always move forward, and help build the next big thing in insurance
- Experience with front-end web development concepts and technical SEO
- Familiarity with JavaScript, React, and popular web frameworks such as Gatsby, Next.js
- Experience using data within journalism
- Experience with popular BI tools like Mode, Sisense, Tableau
