About the role
- Play an influential role in designing workflows for educators, students, and people that support teaching and learning
- Partner closely with product managers and developers to solve complex problems and ensure the highest quality solutions
- Be an advocate for A11y best practices
- Work with a rapid, iterative mindset, being open and flexible to changes based on user feedback
- Initiate and lead research activities with our customers and users
- Measure the success of products after release
- Build prototypes for user testing
- Use and contribute to a design system to create products with consistent interactions and a shared visual language
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to ensure the highest quality designs and functionality
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing for large scale digital products
- A portfolio representing your strong design work (visual and UX) on complex digital products
- Self-motivated with a passion for design
- Strong problem solving skills
- Highly self-motivated, with deep experience leveraging Design Systems
- Deep experience and knowledge of designing for Accessibility compliance
- Strong storytelling and communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong work ethic, sense of accountability and ownership
- Strong attention to detail and a systematic thinker
- Great team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
- The ability to iterate rapidly
- Familiarity of user expectations and usage for mobile
- Prototyping experience, including leveraging AI tools for rapid prototyping/vibe coding
- Experience with designing mobile first and responsive web design
